Shocking Video Emerges On The Biafra/Arewa Issue As Renowned Igbo Poet Pleas For Reconciliation

Going by violent trends in recent times from the bokoharam / herdsmen crisis from the north, Niger delta militancy and currently resurfacing eastern and northern dispute over the renewed agitation for a sovereign Biafra state, the apparent tension and uncertainty looming the nation seems to be at its peak.
While compounded daily with unguarded hate speeches, threats and ultimatums coming from both sides of the country; there is never a better time for elder statesmen, youth groups, opinion leaders and all well meaning personalities and organizations to lend voices to a plea for peace and reconciliation. While cautioning both groups to sheathe their swords and stop heating the polity, we must emphasize a pressing need for present-day youths to be aware of the negative impact that is associated with issuing threats of violence and war, while propagating hate and bitterness in their agitation for whatever cause they are after.
In a viral video titled ‘PLEA FOR RECONCILIATION’ Go Africa an organization whose primary objective is to project positive feeds from Africa to the global community has in a collaborative effort with Mastapis Consults lend their voices while exploring a fresh but critical view to the more pressing Biafra topic and other related disputes in this production appealing to the sensitivity of Nigerians, by asking all those who have nurtured pain and hate over decades, to ‘Bury old hatchets’.
In a private chat with Mr. Gregory Osayawe Egharevba, the founder /creative director Go Africa, He stated that he wasn’t born around the 60’s but from personal research and stories from those who survived that era he would do anything to prevent its reoccurrence, he believes all Nigerian should rise up and jointly condemn those heating the polity by issuing threats of violence and division, “we must do everything possible to ensure the continuance of peace and unity in this country before it’s too late”.
This viral video borrows a poem titled ‘PLEA FOR RECONCILIATION’ from the book UNITY IN THE LAND, written by Mrs. Rosemary Duru a leading poet in Nigeria, which was first published in 1999 and then recently republished for public consumption in 2017 with a fresh concept developed by a top publishing/architectural firm in Abuja “Mastapis Consults”.
It also contains scenes from Chimamanda’s HALF OF A YELLOW SUN (movie) and a combination of other visual materials sourced from Google/ YouTube that weaves the message of the story into a masterpiece
