Please dont call me a one season striker! says Harry kane see what he said

When Harry Kane first burst onto the scene for
Tottenham Hotspur just a handful of seasons ago,
many became incredibly carried away with the
striker’s efficiency in one-on-one situations at first.
His name was linked with several big money moves
across the country, with even the likes of Bayern
Munich raising a reported interest in the striker.
There were, however, those who labelled the
emerging English centre-forward as little more than a
flash-in-the-pan type of player who apparently
wouldn’t thrive long at White Hart Lane, but as the in-
form 22-year-old has already bagged eleven league
goals this season, and hes the EPL top scorer in 2015, such a negative valuation hasn’t
yet been fulfilled.
So then, on the back of Harry Kane’s successful
exploits in front of goal so far this season, has the
Tottenham Hotspur striker now finally shaken off
those frustrating ‘one-season-wonder’ tags?
As Mauricio Pochettino’s side currently find
themselves in the Premier League’s top four, Kane’s
contribution down at White Hart Lane certainly seems
to have been a significant one. Although the Three
Lions front-man initially failed to set the league alight
during the opening stages of the current campaign,
the Tottenham favourite has nonetheless returned to
his very best form since.
The ever impressive 22-year-old possesses one of the
cleanest shots of the ball in the Premier League.
He has it in his locker to successfully turn defenders
inside the opposition’s penalty box, as well as
showing great quality when bringing his fellow
teammates into play.
Yes, the England international’s goal-scoring stats
were indeed bolstered throughout the course of
Tottenham’s Europa League campaign last season,
but as Harry Kane has seemingly transformed that
form back in the Premier League so far this term,
very few could discredit the player’s growing
efficiency in front of goal.
However, is Kane really that all important figurehead
the English national team have been crying out for all
these years?
Whilst the Spurs front-man most definitely knows
how to find the back of the net on most given
occasions, Harry Kane arguably fails to represent the
ultimate centre-forward.. He could very well develop
his game even further in future seasons of course,
yet without a large upgrade in terms of sheer
technical ability alone, the Three Lions striker will
likely always have his limits.

For all his goal-scoring form across the Premier
League in recent years, Harry Kane is possibly too
slow on the break at times, his general touch and
overall maneuverability have certainly been called into
question - and although the striker does his best to
stretch defences with intelligent off-ball movement,
the current White Hart Lane forward doesn't seem to
offer a great deal without the ball at his feet.
All the aforementioned factors could easily blossom
for Harry Kane in the not too distant future, and
maybe such an analysis does seem a bit harsh – but
seeing as the 22-year-old has been categorised as a
£40million player in recent transfer windows, the
relevant speculation surrounding Kane clearly isn’t
always grounded in reality.
So although the in-form Tottenham man has indeed
shaken off those ‘one-season wonder’ tags
throughout the course of the current campaign,
perhaps he still falls short of comparing to the
unreservedly idolised light many hopeful England
fans have recently painted him out in.
